About Us
Today, as in years past, there has always been talk and comment on how so much of our outdoor heritage is being lost, forgotten or neglected. As our society progresses and advances, little time seems to be available to appreciate what nature has provided for us and therefore, the absence of passing it on to our youth.
The wonder of the great outdoors should not and cannot be allowed to follow the path of lost traditions and practices.
A long time dream of devoted fisherman and sportsmen, Chief Lake Youth Wilderness Camp, (CLWYC) is now a reality. CLWYC is a non-for-profit, non denominational coed camping facility dedicated and committed to providing and passing on the outdoor experience.
The CLWYC commons area of 13 acres, is situated within 500 acres of camp controlled land featuring trails, ponds and wildlife habitats.
Located near Republic Michigan, CLWYC is a fully staffed year round facility able to accommodate upwards of 64 campers and counselors.
Housing quarters consist of eight all season units designed to house up to 8 campers and counselor in each.
